MSC Drinks Package Offers?

Hi,

We are on our first cruise with MSC (actually, only our second ever cruise!!!) on Magnifica in May next year (from Venice) and we are looking at purchasing the All-In Classic drinks package.

However, before purchasing, do MSC ever have any offers on drinks packages (2 for 1, free upgrades etc). If so, where do they usually advertise them (their Facebook page?)

Just wondering if it worth hanging on until nearer our departure date in case something comes up.

Many thanks.

Simple answer: No, MSC doesn't do offers on their drinks packages, other than you can avoid the 15% service charge that's added when you purchase the package onboard by pre-purchasing it. You will also avoid being at the mercy of the currency exchange rate as you can pay £23 pppd whereas it'll be €26 + 15% onboard.

It depends on the region - US$ is the currency on US-based ships; Euros on practically every other itinerary.

Well our first cruise is on preziosa on the 19th of March 2019.

We're cruising the Caribbean ...... (Ann's first Caribbean) so didn't want to take anything else but dollars lol [emoji16]

Oh really ?? That's really interesting. But you're right, no US based ports.

Euros it is then.

I'll also ask on the medium we're not allowed to mention.

There's one sure way to find out. If the all-inclusive basic drinks package cost, when pre-booking, is £23 (Restaurant & Bar), then it'll be Euros onboard. If, however, it's £38 (Classic), then it's US$.

We got the classic drinks package included when we booked a UAE cruise in March for Jan 2019, so they do have offers at times

Yes ... but not AFTER booking (which was the question in the OP).

We've booked many cruises with the all-inclusive included in the price. Also, from time to time, TAs here are given the opportunity to add the package on for €90 (practically half the full price of €183). This is for 7 night cruises for itineraries where the onboard currency is Euros.
