Druke I Posted January 10, 2006 #4 Share Posted January 10, 2006 My wife went into the tunnels at CuChi - said interesting - but very claustrophobic. I declined - I knew my claustrophobia would kick in. I "freaked out" in a coal mine in Canada (Prince Edward Island?).
phlewt Posted January 11, 2006 #5 Share Posted January 11, 2006 My wife and I both "experienced" the 30-meter section of the Cu Chi tunnels that has been enlarged enough for westerners to crawl through. About half of the people in our bus group gave it a try. It was an interesting experience, but as you say, if you have any reservations about it, you would be better off staying above ground. You can still get a very good idea of the way they are constructed from above ground.
