leisuretraveler223 Posted September 21, 2018 #1 Share Posted September 21, 2018 Sailing on Symphony in February, and seafood has been the one constant shortcomings in the cruise world. I see a lot of people getting excited about Hooked, but I'm still a little suspect. Seafood on cruise ships has pretty much always meant frozen and mediocre at best. Particularly when sailing in and out of ports with outstanding fresh local offerings. As such, I've always gotten my seafood fix in ports. Is Hooked really that good? Or is it just kind of winning at the low expectations game? I mean, how does it compare to the seafood I'll get in Miami before we sail, or in any of the ports of call? Norwich Cruiser Posted September 21, 2018 #2 Share Posted September 21, 2018 Tried it once and it was ok certainly wouldn't bother again. From our point of view we definitely have better seafood at home perhaps living about twenty minutes from the harbour and seeing the days catch before buying helps. Also we had better crab and lobster in Miami.
