Question about carnival mastercard

I read on a post not long ago that carnival is not using the mastercard any more. My question is how do you go about redeeming your points earned? or are you still able to use them? I don't have but 786pts, but that is enough for a bottle of bubbley(sp),any help appreciated [img]http://messages.cruisecritic.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif[/img]

The Carnival Mastercard is still active. They are just not accepting any new applications at this time. There was a post on this board 2 or 3 weeks back about the same topic. Your points are still good and you will continue to get more as you use the card. I am still using mine and I should have enough for the upgrade to an OV for my next cruise. There is a '1-800' # on your monthly statement you can call. They will connect you to the redemption center customer service.

I doubt that it has anything to do with being burned. My guess is Carnival may be switching programs once again. They first were with MBNA and then switched to Capital One. Who knows.

Also in my last statement I did not get a Carnival coupon as I did every month before. I have 30,000 points to redeem but saving up for $1000 certificate.

We found out the other day on our Carnival MC that when you charge your deposit, they don't add it in with your regular purchases. They have a seperate area called Carnival Balance. When you make your payment it all goes toward your reg. purchase balcance due (including those since the statment was sent). Then after that is paid the rest is put toward your cruise balance. so we can never pay off the balance unless we pay off all charges for the new statement. Interest could eat us alive if we charge the rest due for the trip on that card. Plan now for one of those super low rates
