Soon enough, I started walking South back towards George Town...

 

For a while I was the only person around in either direction. Pretty soon, it started raining. I mean really raining hard. I was already wet, so I made sure to tie a good knot in my fancy beach bag, and went in for another swim. The water felt much warmer than the rain falling from above.

When it finally stopped raining, I continued walking until I came to governor's beach. I cut through to the main road and walked some more. I finally made it to my lunch destination, Sunshine Grill.

 

 

I ordered one each of the chicken, fish, and shrimp tacos, and a side of sunshine scramble. (French fries, onion rings, fried jalapenos, and sweet potato fries)

It was still cloudy, so I just walked back to the main road and hailed the public bus back towards George Town.

 

 

If you've never been to Grand Cayman, there are chickens running around wild everywhere...

Next thing I knew, I was back in town, and walked back to the cruise terminal.

 

 

Which brings us to now... I'm going to take another shower.

My very first ever public bathroom selfie...

 

 

I figured that while I was at it, I would tick off another first. First time in the glass enclosed cruise ship elevator. Truth is, I very rarely use the regular elevator, but definitely never this one. I wanted to ride "solo" but every time it stopped ten people would pile in like a bunch of animals. Patience, my paduwan. Eventually, I was able to take a solo trip...

The notorious Carnival Magic wifi is being notoriously bad again... Anyhoo, where were we?

 

I made my first visit to the blue iguana tequila bar. This has been, in the past my "go-to place to hang out. I didn't visit at all on my Vista cruise. I will try to make an effort to come back.

 

Roca Patron straight... Doesn't look sexy at all in that crummy plastic cup, but it's good nonetheless...
