Curacao with a 1:30 Arrival

So, my wife and I have never been to Curacao. Our port day includes an arrival time at 1:30 and departs at 10:30. What suggestions can people, who have been there, give to us with the later arrival and departure?

We got off the ship right away. We went to the tour vendors counter and chose a $20 comprehensive island tour. It was about 2 hours and the bus was air conditioned. Then you could walk around downtown for a while. Then we did a sunset cruise at 5:00pm which I highly recommend. All the booze you want was included. We booked this one through the cruise line, but perhaps it is offered independently. This is the boat. We sat on top. The island oozes charm!

In Curacao we signed up for the Beach Bus- spent a few hours at the beach

and then walked around Willemstad.

We have also done the sunset cruise and highly recommend it.  Booked it directly with pelican.

We'd rent a car and go exploring.  But our focus is stopping at beaches where we can snorkel.  Some of the best in the world and snorkeling with the turtles are fantastic!

 

Advanced car rental is fantastic.  H gives you all you need and you can return the car late in the day, all for $70.  This way you can stop anywhere and enjoy the sunset too.

 

But, we don't drink so this might not work everyone.  For some, drinking is the main part of the cruise 🙂
