Valor mattresses?

Just call me the princess and the pea! :D

I have 15" of metal and 20 screws in my back - the last time I was on Carnival they doubled up the mattresses for me and the time before that they still had eggcrate upon request.

I know a lot of cruise lines are going to more luxury mattresses; can anyone who's been on the Valor lately tell me how the beds were? We're in an Oceanview Balcony.

I have not been on the Valor recently but in my experience, the ship is irrelevant because they use the same bedding on all of them. It is really hit or miss how great the mattress you get is. I have had some that were perfect and others that were clearly sagging and on their last days.

If you watch the pier, they are always loading and unloading. If you get a sagging one, they carry spares and perhaps you can get it changed out.

Also might I suggest you call special needs and see what assistance they can offer?
