How to find out if we are linked to our friends

Assuming ANYTIME DINING and that your party is 2 and your friends party is 2 it is very easy to simply make a reservation at some point during the day for a party of 4 and show up and be seated. If both parties have already been assigned FIXED seating times, I would imagine it would be as easy as talking to the Dining Room Host and requesting the change.

I'm pretty sure you need to call HAL or your travel agent (and perhaps the friends need to call theirs as well) and ask them to link the bookings. I think the only benefit is for seating in the main dining room. It does not make you liable for their charges or for tours or anything else.

I have never seen anything on my booking paperwork to indicate our second cabin (for the adult daughters) is linked to our booking--but we always end up at a table for 4 and if I call HAL for another reason, they usually mention seeing the linked bookings.
