AspirationalFlyer Posted October 23, 2018 #1 Share Posted October 23, 2018 Hello everyone, I’m booked on the Queen Elizabeth Xmas Cruise to Bruges from 14-17 December. Is anyone else? As a millennial, one of my questions is, of course, what are the highlights likely to be from a picture taking perspective? Which things onboard are likely to look best on our social media accounts and make all our friends envious?!? I was thinking: - Christmas Tree in the Grand Lobby - Gingerbread Village - Christmas cocktails Anything else? In your experience, are there any ‘must do’ experiences on a Cunard Xmas cruise? It it would be great to hear from you.
BigMac1953 Posted October 23, 2018 #2 Share Posted October 23, 2018 We did a Christmas Market cruise a few years ago on QV. I think it was 12 days in total. The decorations and gingerbread village didn't appear until 19 December. Surprisingly, there was no Christmas Fayre food-wise and we were told that the only day Christmas lunch/dinner is offered is 25 December. Luckily, as we were in QG, with the help of a pen and note pad, I wrote our menu and a couple of days later had a lovely Christmas dinner complete with pudding and flaming brandy sauce. I don't know if that is still the case. Perhaps someone who has been more recently can advise. Stewart
Lanky Lad Posted October 23, 2018 #3 Share Posted October 23, 2018 There should be a gingerbread village and trees in every public room.
