We cruise on Elation (5-days) on Monday.  We had an inside Upper deck, forward.  

 

The Upsell Fairy called.  Went to Empress balcony for $250 total.  2 people.

 

Is that good?  I think we're going to be under the dining room.

We went balcony after cruise number one and will never do interior again.  You will love it.  Enjoy the cruise!

Yes. I was just wondering if $250 to a balcony is considered a decent upsell. 

I was excited but now I think it’s under the dining room which makes me think it will be noisy.

Do a mock booking to see what it would cost for that cabin originally.  Then compare what you paid for your original cabin plus the $250.  To some, it might be a good upsell.  To others, it may not.  It just depends on how much you wanted the balcony cabin.

The DR isn't open 24/7 so it might just be noisy when you are out of your cabin anyway.  I'm with the poster who said to do a mock booking.  The cost was only $50 more per day, doesn't sound too bad for a move to an inside to a balcony to me.

$250 is an excellent amount to go from an interior to a balcony - grab it. You won't be sorry.

It sounds good to me... Like some1 else said do a mock booking to see how much a balcony would normally be to see if it's a good offer.
