bulldogmom Posted January 13, 2006 #3 Share Posted January 13, 2006 I sailed on the Imagination in 1999 and the Paradise twice, once in 2003 and once in 2004 and I had a blast all 3 times. The Imagaination and the Paradise are really similar ships as far as their size and layout. If you liked the Paradise then you will also like the Imagination. cmm80124 Posted January 13, 2006 #4 Share Posted January 13, 2006 We were on the Imagination in December of 2004. Had a great time for a quick getaway - Key West and Cozumel. The ship was nicely kept, and I thought pretty easy to navigate. The casino was fairly good to me (until I was dragged away for dinner :) ), and I found the Horizon Court food to be very good (especially the salad bar). The hamburgers were...the best I've ever had anywhere! We had a great time, and are looking forward to sailing on the Sensation in April. If you have any more specific questions, just ask - I kept all the Capers.
big_duck Posted January 13, 2006 #5 Share Posted January 13, 2006 I know that she has been in drydock sometime late 2004/early 2005. They added a mini-putt course on the jogging deck and a "small" bigscreen TV on the Lido deck from what I understand.
hitman00 Posted January 14, 2006 #6 Share Posted January 14, 2006 We leave on the Imagination a week from tomorrow!! (Time out for the happy dance!) I will post a review when we return. We sailed on the Celebration a few years back, so we're looking forward to a little larger ship.
Indycr Posted January 14, 2006 #7 Share Posted January 14, 2006 We were on the Imagination sailing Jan 2, 2006. Had a great experience, the food, service, maitr'd were head and shoulders above our Liberty cruise in Oct 2005. Say "hi" to Vito, Dennis, and Amiko in the Spirit Dining Room....the whole crew seemed more friendly....must be the reason that the passenger comment cards rank the Imagination 2nd only to the Facination and then only by .1% Cayman was great, enjoyed the river tubing in Jamaica. smceown Posted January 14, 2006 #8 Share Posted January 14, 2006 Does the Imagination have the new and upgraded bedding that I am hearing about on other ships? Thanks!
hlb76 Posted January 14, 2006 #9 Share Posted January 14, 2006 Hitmann I do believe I will be on the ship with you. 1-21-06 Right? I can't wait. I thought it would never get here but now it seems like it will. Lets keep our finger crossed for great weather!
SPARKY12 Posted January 14, 2006 #10 Share Posted January 14, 2006 What's the earliest you can go dancing? Besides the disco? What type of live bands are there for dancing/listening? Country? Jazz? Hitman, we're on the same sail and we've both done celebration.

Buttonlover Posted January 16, 2006 #12 Share Posted January 16, 2006 We were on the Imagination May, 2005, and had a wonderful time! The beds were incredibly comfy, the ship well maintained, and the folks working there were great! Hope you have a great time! We're cruising again this May only on the Valor. billh65 Posted January 16, 2006 #13 Share Posted January 16, 2006 must be the reason thatthe passenger comment cards rank the Imagination 2nd only to the Facination and then only by .1% I've seen this stat on these boards before. Where can I find the source for the passenger satisfaction from the comment cards for all the Carnival ships? Thanks for the input. bill
FrannyK Posted January 16, 2006 #14 Share Posted January 16, 2006 I can't remember from our last Imagination cruise--Do I need to bring a blow dryer? My blow dryer has a 3-prong plug, can I plug this in at the desk area in the cabin? Also, what toiletries are provided in the bathroom basket? Thanks! My blow dryer has a 3-prong plug, can I plug this in at the desk area in the cabin? Also, what toiletries are provided in the bathroom basket? Thanks! Definately bring a blow dryer! Don't remember the outlets in the desk though. The amenity basket had the usual tylenol, toothpaste, razors, sample shampoo and conditioner. Have fun!
