Tomorrow's embarkation day will be much different for me than it has been since 1991, as I will be embarking on the next chapter of my life. I wanted to say thank you to all of you for a wonderful 13 years with Carnival Cruise Lines. Although I have very high aspirations for the next voyage in my life which will be producing and starring in my own show called "The Corey Schmidt Experience" that will open on August 5th at the Horizon Hotel & Casino in South Lake Tahoe. I will leave behind a big piece of my heart onboard the ships of Carnival. I have met so many amazing people that have had an and impact on not only my life, but also the lives of our guests, Officers, Staff & Crew! I am also very proud to be part of the team onboard the Carnival Conquest which has just received the EAGLE award for the best Guests AND Crew ratings for 2003! Carnival Cruise Lines represents "The FUN Ships". Please always remember to keep the FUN onboard, in the office and in your hearts! Best regards and thanks for the memories! kristikae Posted April 3, 2004 #2 Share Posted April 3, 2004 It is in fact true. Corey called me on Monday. He is so excited about the changes in his life but of course sad to be leaving Carnival. Tomorrow he leaves the Conquest and Carnival. Kristi - "No shoes, no shirt, no problem..." CruiseFever Posted April 4, 2004 #7 Share Posted April 4, 2004 Kristi if you talk to him again wish him well from we who have sailed with him, he sure put in his time at sea! Quite a unique and talented Cruise Director; he added a lot to our experience. Not all CD's do. yuyi64 Posted April 4, 2004 Author #8 Share Posted April 4, 2004 I agree Chris, Corey was the best CD we had on any of our Carnival cruises and we'll miss him next time we sail on the Conquest. His permanent replacement will have a tough act to follow; I'm sure Corey played a major role in the Conquest winning the Eagle award as Best Ship in the Carnival fleet last year. almitra Posted April 4, 2004 #9 Share Posted April 4, 2004 Man, I hate to hear about his leaving, but I've known since our Conquestador cruise back in January that it was just a matter of time...((sigh)). Still, my memories of a fabulous cruise, made even more special by the best CD ever, are forever and always.
