CLOUDYTOWN Posted November 2, 2018 #1 Share Posted November 2, 2018 We will be on a Veendam cruise in January and will be making two stops in Cuba. Is the visa that Holland America obtains a single entry into Cuba or a multiple entry? In other words, will we have to purchase one or two visas? cabinluvn Posted November 2, 2018 #2 Share Posted November 2, 2018 We are also sailing on a cruise to Cuba in January. I assume the visa is good for anywhere in Cuba, no matter how many stops the ship makes
catl331 Posted November 2, 2018 #3 Share Posted November 2, 2018 (edited) Cruise ships from the US have been going to Cuba for a while now, and I've never heard anyone say they needed multiple visas. IF the ship stays within the 12 mile territorial limit, wouldn't you be "entering" just once? (I don't know if the ship goes into international waters between stops, or if that makes any difference. 🙂 ) Edited November 2, 2018 by catl331
OlsSalt Posted November 2, 2018 #4 Share Posted November 2, 2018 (edited) The mandatory Cuban visa is charged to your account and is good for the entire cruise, regardless of number of stops. Havana is a fabulous stop - wish the cruise spent two full days there - so much to see and absorb. Edited November 2, 2018 by OlsSalt
Loreto Posted November 2, 2018 #5 Share Posted November 2, 2018 OlsSalt is correct! Cuba is amazing, especially Cienfuegos/Trinidad. Take dollars for tips. We were told not to, but guides took them. Enjoy your cruise! Karen
