cruise2relax Posted November 5, 2018 #1 Share Posted November 5, 2018 I am thinking about the Spain pre-Barcelona 6 day cruisetour. Never been on one, can anyone shed any light on these? Good, bad? How many folks on a cruisetour? Good restauarants and hotels? Any information would be appreciated,
vantec Posted November 5, 2018 #2 Share Posted November 5, 2018 We have been on only one cruise tour, it was in China two years ago. Everything was first class from start to finish. We stayed at lovely Sheraton Hotels (our preference is normally Hilton), the two we stayed at were newer and in nice neighborhoods so we could get out and walk around. The restaurants were all good, with the exception of one, so we went off on our own (and had to pay for it). We were kept extremely busy, they seemed to want to make sure we got our money's worth, we really liked our guide. We are not normally cruise tour people, but felt in China it would be good to be part of a tour, we were impressed, have no complaints, and would recommend a Princess Cruise Tour. vantec Posted November 5, 2018 #3 Share Posted November 5, 2018 I should add that there were approximately 50 people on our bus, and there were several buses.

msualum Posted November 6, 2018 #5 Share Posted November 6, 2018 We were on the Swiss land tour a couple of years ago and it was terrific. There were 50 of us, two very nice motor coaches, so no crowding. The hotels were in areas where we felt safe walking, included tours were excellent, our guide was the best. Lots of meals were included. The weather was perfect. We enjoyed it so much we are booked for the Spain land tour in October of next year. Go for it! PoohUnderstands Posted November 11, 2018 #6 Share Posted November 11, 2018 Again, we were just on a landtour in Canada prior to our cruise. Princess put us up in four cities, all at Fairmont Hotels. They included all breakfasts and a couple lunches and dinners. The only thing you have to consider if it is for you or not is the volume of people. We had three busses with 42 people on each. So that was crowded. Breakfasts were ok and done well by Princess and Fairmont considering they had 129 people to handle all at one time. The itineraries were great. So all are handled well by Princess, but I just didn't like the large number of people to be handled at each turn even though Princess did it very well and efficiently.
