alwaysfrantic Posted November 8, 2018 #1 Share Posted November 8, 2018 Can I order the same thing once onboard, as is available ahead of boarding....a bottle of scotch or gin with the mixers? I need things to spend OBC on but want my drinks in the room too.
Krazy Kruizers Posted November 8, 2018 #2 Share Posted November 8, 2018 Yes -- you can order bottles of alcohol for your cabin once you are on the ship. The prices will be the same. We do it all the time.
alwaysfrantic Posted November 8, 2018 Author #3 Share Posted November 8, 2018 Thank you so much! I just order at a bar? Or call room service?
Krazy Kruizers Posted November 8, 2018 #4 Share Posted November 8, 2018 You can stop by a bar and order a bottle, but on one ship the bar tenders made people go back to their cabins and place the orders via room service. If they do sell you a bottle at the bar, they won't let you take it back to your cabin, they will have someone deliver it your cabin. We always have a couple of ones handy to give as a tip. DoggyDaddy Posted November 8, 2018 #5 Share Posted November 8, 2018 Order the bottle(s) for “at sea”, that way you won’t pay any sales tax. Chances are that it/they will be in your room when you arrive. DD
WisRiver Posted November 8, 2018 #6 Share Posted November 8, 2018 We order the gin and tonic package after we get to our room. We call room service. You only get 4 cans of tonic, so we bring on board another 6 pack of tonic and some whole limes. Sometimes we have had to go to the bar to get a glass full of cut limes. In our cabin G and T without fresh lime is barbaric.

Krazy Kruizers Posted November 8, 2018 #8 Share Posted November 8, 2018 If we have a lot of shipboard credit, we also wait and order once we are on the ship. Otherwise we do order before we get on the ship. And the bottles have always been in our cabin by the time we got on the ship.
