Didn't go to Bonaire

A friend just got back from a cruise and their ship did not stop at Bonaire due to hurricane damage.  Has anyone else experienced this as of late?

Lots of posts. They have two piers to dock at. Any missed stops mostly due to reno's on the pier.

Many ships too big to use the only available one. Freedom of Seas RCL has skipped Bonaire a couple of times I believe.

Yea, they are working on one of the piers.  We were on the Equinox and parked at a pier that was under construction.

Do you know if it was the North or South pier Celebrity used?

Celebrity docked at the S. Pier that is currently undergoing repairs. Nothing due to hurricane damage - just upgrading both piers. The Freedom is set to dock at the S. Pier on 12.13 - should be done by that time. Thanks.

Yeah nothing to do with hurricanes.  We're supposed to dock there late January, hoping things are done by then.

The renovation on the S. Pier will definitely be finished before December 13th - all cruises scheduled to stop at Bonaire after that date are going to fine. Thanks.

We were there November 16th on Holland America’s Koningsdam. We docked at the south pier and there was another smaller cruise ship docked at the north pier.

There's no hurricane damage here in Bonaire. We're outside the hurricane zone.

Freedom was able to dock on Dec 13th as scheduled. Had a great snorkel trip with Woodwind Tours.
