mohavemommy Posted April 4, 2004 #5 Share Posted April 4, 2004 Didn't have to remember. Arizona doesn't recognize daylight savings time. It's a pain sometimes, but not when we don't have to worry about changing all of those clocks or watches! Is it the same now? thebird Posted April 4, 2004 #7 Share Posted April 4, 2004 Serene56, I have been reading that Grand Cayman is on eastern time, but doesn't observe DST, therefore, they are now an hour behind eastern time. Cozumel is on central time, they DO observe DST, so they are still an hour behind eastern time. Hope that wasn't too confusing. It made sense when I wrote it, but when I reread it, I was confused a bit... Lead, Follow, or Get the $&@* out of the way!
thebird Posted April 4, 2004 #8 Share Posted April 4, 2004 Anyway, if you are stopping in Grand Cayman and Cozumel, both ports will be an hour behind the ship's "eastern" time. Lead, Follow, or Get the $&@* out of the way!
yuyi64 Posted April 4, 2004 #9 Share Posted April 4, 2004 Or they'll be the same time as the ship if you're sailing out of Galveston or New Orleans.
mumsyo Posted April 4, 2004 #10 Share Posted April 4, 2004 Just remember to have your watches set on "Ships time" when in all ports!! That way, you WILL get back to the ship on time!! Bunkie103 Posted April 4, 2004 #11 Share Posted April 4, 2004 Worked thru the night and patients kept calling to ask if someone was going to push the clocks ahead. We laughed that they were so worried about it. Sure enough at shortly after 2am maintenanace came up and re-set each and every clock in the hospital.
