If your suite has butler service, you can order dinner in the cabin from any restaurant menu aboard.

You tip the butler an amount based on the quantity and quality of services provided.

By the way, heres' what RCI recommends as tipping guidelines......

Suite attendant: $5.75 USD a day per guest

Stateroom attendant: $3.50 USD a day per guest

Dining Room Waiter: $3.50 USD a day per guest

Assistant Waiter: $2.00 USD a day per guest

Headwaiter: $.75 USD a day per guest

I would think a NCL suite butler should get as much as a RCI suite attendant, don't you?

For two passengers in a suite: $11.50 per day,

For three passengers in a suite: $17.25 per day,

For four passengers in a suite: $23.00 per day,

For five passengers in a suite: $28.75 per day,

For six passengers in a suite: $34.50 per day.

Wow, Electricon, you must have been in the Garden Villa to get 6 in a suite.

Seriously, the tip should represent the services requested and given.

We were in Owners' Suite on the Dawn last June, then Jewel Jan. 1 sailing in 2 penthouses, had the joy of the same butler , Maxi. Yes, he will assemble ( and did ), a dinner from any or all restos. Just be specific as to menu items as described in the daily menus posted outside each resto. He could even get " this " fro Chin Chin, " that " from Bistro, etc. Tip accordingly !!!!!!

we're just off the Dawn.

Halfway through the cruise I gave our butler $100. and told him he was doing a great job.

We only used him for some cabin breakfasts and an occasional room service.

The day we left I gave him another $50.

I think it was commensurate with the service.

Correct me someone if I am wrong (maybe you better not....a little testy today:rolleyes: :D )

I think if you order from the "pay" restaurants you do have to pay the fee?

That is correct just like wine or drinks the butler will bring the slip for your autograph. :)
