How far from Hotel Nacional to pier?

We are thinking of having our tour driver drop off at the hotel for drinks after our tour, anyone know how far to where the ship will be docked? Trying to figure if it's walkable or do we need a taxi. Does it have a roof top bar?  We're on Royal Caribbean's Empress.

~1 hour / 4. k6m (3 miles) walk.  It should be nice leisurely walk along the Malecón.  https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Malecón,_Havana  Hotel Nacional is near the far end.

After having drinks...I'd take a cab back to the ship.  It would be a nice drive along the Malecon.

We booked a Caberet show at night through Carnival at this hotel.  It would be a long walk.

It is pretty far from the pier but make sure to stop there it is a gorgeous old hotel with a beautiful outside area .
