Trip Assure Insurance

I am looking at quotes for travel insurance for an upcoming cruise in March.  I've been searching on insuremytrip.com and came across TripAssure Advantage Asset Plan.  Anyone use TripAssure before? How reputal are they? Hoping to not have to use insurance, but don't want to make my final payment without purchasing a plan.

Sounds like overkill. rental car is included, coverage for canceling due to hurricane. Have used Insuremytrip several times and have chosen Travel guard  or Allienz. Never had a claim but cc members love IMT.com

I always thought of trip insurance mostly for cancellation...until my baggage was delayed until the fifth day of a cruise.  On that trip, I had a plan purchased through RCCL, and thankfully it paid each of us $500 (IIRC, it was $100 per day).  It's amazing how much it costs to replace some basics when you're island shopping.

 

Since then, I started looking at other coverages like medical evacuation - I'm in great health, but anyone can be injured or become ill.

 

I've purchased Nationwide Choice Cruise through InsureMyTrip, but haven't had to use it.
