YOu know, wouldn't it be great if they started a new "Love Boat"? What ship do you think they should choose, and what cast of characters would you like to see star in this new show??

We should all write to Aaron Spelling and tell him to resurrect the Love Boat - the best show ever! I had to watch it with my grandma when I was 4 years old, and then I was hooked!

They *are* resurrecting the Love Boat, with a full-length feature film. I guess the success <cough> of Starsky & Hutch inspired them.

They say that many of the original cast has signed on to the project, but if that were the case, they should probably be sailing on HAL.

It's funny you posted this, I was thinking about this just two days ago!!! I think it would be an awesome show. I love shows that have ever changing guest stars!! We'd flop the sofa cushions on the floor, be in our jammies, make fried egg sandwiches, it was a weekly event!

Hmmmm. There was a new "Love Boat" series that was on for - what, half a season? - 2-3 yrs. ago. (Robert Urich as Capt. Steubing?) It was on some network that I didn't get, so never saw it. I'm guessing it didn't go over so well, as it's gone pffft!

There was an episode of South Park where there did a spoof on the "love Boat" It was called the " Catholic Boat" I don't know where they come up with this stuff!!!!!!

On another note, wouldn't it be great if they made a reality tv show about a cruiseship - like A&E has "Airline" about Southwest Airlines - which is a great show, they should do the same with "Cruiseship"!!!!!! What a great show that would be!!!

Funny you should mention...Our first cruise with Princess was in 1998 when then were filming the new Love Boat Series and My husband and the our friend actually are in the program(samllest snippet you can imagine) but it was pretty exciting for us

Well, if this is to be an "authentic" Love Boat series, then they'd have to use a Princess ship. The new Diamond Princess would probably fit the bill since she is doing Mexican Riviera cruises from LA.
