gunkelj Posted April 5, 2004 #1 Share Posted April 5, 2004 We have 11 people that need to get from Miami airport to the Holiday Inn Bayside - what is the best, cheapest and fastest way? klfrodo Posted April 5, 2004 #2 Share Posted April 5, 2004 which ever way you choose,,,don't forget to think about the fact that you have between 25 and 30 pieces of luggage to haul around. Personally, I splurge when I'm on vacation. I'd consider a limo bus. (One of those little shuttle busses that are decked out on the inside like a limo). Flat rate, room for ALL the luggage, couches to relax in, stocked with a few a your favorite beverages and a luxurious short tour prior to getting to the hotel. Or you could get 3 or 4 cabs, or you could call the hotel and see if they ahve airport pick-up in their little vans.
MrCruzeaddict Posted April 5, 2004 #3 Share Posted April 5, 2004 You probably will have to use one of the airport shuttle services that you see all over the airport. Seems like that would be cheaper than cabs. Joe<---Conquest on Halloween! Conquest (Sleazy III)10/31/04 My 25th !
tef43 Posted April 5, 2004 #4 Share Posted April 5, 2004 Super Shuttle (the blue vans) will charge $9-11 per person. The taxi fare (per cab) is fixed at, I think, $18 or $20. So it's pretty much a push if you have two persons sharing a cab. The taxi will be cheaper if you can squeeze in a third person. One factor will be how much luggage you can fit in the trunk. We saw minivan and SUV taxis around Miami, they may be your best option. Tom <--- Curmudgeon of the Seas Eleven cruises so far. Up next: Shhhh, it's a surprise! Lilylady Posted April 5, 2004 #5 Share Posted April 5, 2004 Considering the amount of people and luggage that you need to transport, I would try a shuttle service. shuttle services Inspiration 09/00 Destiny 11/01 Paradise 01/04 Mariner of The Seas 09/04(Royal Hounds)
stlrboo Posted April 5, 2004 #6 Share Posted April 5, 2004 In 2000 we had 4 adults in a cab to the Pier and it was a flat $14.00. Lookin' at probably $20.00 now.. that cab looked like a mule train with all the baggage and bungee cords, but it was still only $14.00. Believe the hotel to be closer to the airport than the Pier!! CruiseFever Posted April 5, 2004 #7 Share Posted April 5, 2004 Supershuttle is the only way for you to go other than hiring a bunch of cabs.
