Embarkation Day Lunch

We don't have much experience with RCCL but always dread the chaos of Embarkation Day lunch at the buffet on any cruise ship. What alternatives are likely to be available when we sail January 27 on Liberty of the Seas?

Assuming you are traveling into port the day before, eat a good breakfast, check out your cabin at 1pm, explore the ship and skip lunch. Dinner will be soon...

I was wondering the same thing. Carnival offered a free lunch in the specialty Italian restaurant on embarkation. That was a nice treat because no one was there.

Chops is not free but you may think it’s worth the money about 20 per person for lunch

Cafe Promenade, Sorrento's, and possibly Johnny Rockets.

Consider a light snack at Cafe Promenade or Sorrento's and tour the ship when you board.  The Windjammer buffet will thin out quickly once the rooms are available around 1pm.
