Just back from the Triumph

I returned home from the Triumph last night. It was very sad to leave the ship. My whole family had a great time and we are all very pleased overall. I will post a review in the next couple of days when I get time to write it. Overall, we loved this cruise but there were a few things that we were not happy about. I read the post earlier that Sean and Val posted, while I did not have any personal problems with the Lynn University group my brother-in-law and sister-in-law did. Their room was on the 2nd floor next to a bunch of the Lynn U's rooms. They complained to me the first few days about it always being loud and that there were drunk students every where who were underage. They finally called security the 3rd day because it was about 2am. and the students in the room next to theirs were being very loud. Security came down and took care of the problem for the night but they had to call security again the next night. Carnival gave them some free drink coupons and took care of the problem. After that the room next to theirs was very quiet. We all thought it was rather ironic that they got free drink coupons considering they were complain about the students being drunk. We ended up having breakfast one morning with a chaperone from the university. He said that he had been traveling with the university for 5 years and that they take the freshman class every year on a cruise. He went into full detail about how they brought their own security with them to control the students when we told him about my brother-in-law's problems but I didn't think that the security was doing them much good. Anyway, I had a great cruise. This was my first on Carnival and I am sure that I will cruise with them again. I will post more within the next couple of days.

Hi-We also just returned from the Triumph. We were on the same ship with the Lynn University. We did not experience any troubles what so ever with the students. We were a group of 64, and no one complained about them at all. We were puzzled about why a college would make it mandatory to send all the freshman on this trip, the academic advantage, but no trouble with them. We were in the lounges, the casino, the shows, the bars and we would see the students, but they were always polite and respectful to all of us. Our group consisted of people from 8 years old to 83 years old, with the majority being between late forties and early fifties.

We had cabins from the lower deck, inside, to suites. A few problems, but everything was taken care of. Food was awesome everywhere we went. If we didn't care for one thing, we got something else.

My daughters and I enjoyed the skippers club. Breezed through the embarking process, but even the rest of the group hardly took any time at all to get on. Getting off the boat was easier than ever, very organized and handled well.

Staff was very friendly, and went out of their way to make things enjoyable.

One comment, bring your own hairdryer. The ship is older, and a lot of the hoses on the hairdryers are broke. We called maintanence and asked for a replacement, and they had none. My daughter had to borrow one every night.

Great trip, would do it again in a heartbeat. Sue

I too just returned from the triumph. We did have a few problems with the Lynn University group, but with some earplugs and walking the other way it wasn't too big of a deal. Our group was bummed that they took over the library and we didn't have access to the games. I will post a review in a couple of days as well.:D

I also did not care for the hair dryer. Mine was not broken, just weak and looked like a vaccum hose! lol. But thanks to readinf this board in advance, I had my own with me ;)

Which she promptly used each evening to wake me up from my afternoon nap! ;-)
