Question For Recent Grand Princess Cruisers

We played holdem just about EVERY night on the diamond (sydney to singapore 12/05 to 1/06) was great fun. Became VERY popular , often more than 2 tables of 10 each were opened.

It was a limit game , $1 small blind , $3 big blind , raise to a max of $15 in $3 increments. $6 = min bet on the turn and river. The casino provides a croupier to physically deal and apply the rules and takes a % of the pot each hand to a max of $5 - I forget the %age. Problem with a limit game is the difficulty of bluffing as the stakes were so small that just about everyone saw the flop for $3 or so, so in essence you had to have the goods to win.

It was more a social thing than a money making thing , albeit I was ahead to the tune of $400 when the trip ended (19 days) but with a small stake of $50 to $100 one could play all night unless you were unlucky. No one generally bought more than about $100's worth of chips when entering and the pool of players became good friends. The other games in the Casino had really bad odds and one could actually drop a bundle on them , the holdem had all the excitement and thrills and you played people , not croupiers or the house.

The one time we had an obnoxious puter geek husband and wife team playing in unison and kibbitzing regarding the hands while they were being played and commenting on other players spouses and play , the casino asked them to split up and shut up (they were real pro internet players and were out to fleece IMHO) and we never saw them again. No discussion in any other language other than english was allowed when a hand was in progress.

Was great fun and generally the play started at 11pm and continued to 2-3 am. No one played during the day.

I just did the Grand 1/07-1/14 it was great till the disembarcation. Holly nightmare it was awful, hundreds missed their flights. TIP!!

Do the express exit you will get off quickly but you'll have to shelp your bags.

That's the first I am hearing about that one? Why did many miss their flights, I thought the ship was early back into port?

I went to a couple of internet agencies the other day, and was surprised to see them not offering standard balcony rooms on the Grand for our upcoming Greek Isle cruise. Popular ship.

My daughter was on the Grand last week, and their we LOTS of folks on board from Texas. I think the cruise lines offer rock bottom deals to locals when they're not full.
