Carnival Magic Questions

I know when you fly your passport has to match your booking 100%. Well, carnival keeps cutting off the last letter of my husband's first name on our booking. Will this be an issue? I can go in and edit it, it will show up, I hit save, and it disappears again. 

 

Also, are there printers on the Magic? I will need to print my airline boarding passes while on the ship.

call customer service, you shouldn't have a problem. If you want to use a printer you have to buy some wi-fi.

Serious question (sorry first time on Carnival): Why would I need to buy a wifi package to print off boarding passes? It will not be coming from my phone.....Royal Caribbean had computers we could use...does Carnival not have computers?

yes, the have an internet cafe, it's not free. Just download the boarding pass to your phone when you get to port.

Unless you are extremely pressed for time to get to airport (that's another issue), download to phone or print at airline kiosk. It's never been a problem. We've sailed both RC and Carnival.

If you have specific selected seats already in your reservation, I wouldn't worry so much and check in at the airport or on your phone.

 

However, if you have not selected seats in advance, I would definitely check in for my flight 24 HRS before.  You want to make sure you have a seat on your boarding pass, just in case your flight is oversold.

 

And, you do have to pay to use the computers.  It's not complimentary.
