Cabrillo Beach in San Pedro

Hi gang!

 

I'm booked on a Mexico cruise in Dec, and thinking of staying at the DoubleTree. 

 

Noticed that Cabrillo Beach seems to be in walking distance. I keep hearing that water temp in SoCal is not so pleasant during the winter months. 

 

Just how drastic is it to prevent us from taking a dip?

The water should be between 55 and 60 degrees in December.

Spent many a lunch break up at Point Fermin above Cabrillo. I'm sure I did, but I can't recall seeing anyone actually swimming. Plenty of people on the sand, but not in the water.
