shanley Posted January 5, 2019 #2 Share Posted January 5, 2019 Your gluten intolerance or celiac should be noted on your reservation. Last year I received an email from the Access Desk accessdesk@ncl.com asking to complete some paper work. I haven't received it yet for my next cruise, so I don't know if things have changed. You can ask for gluten free bread/toast at the buffet and MDR, but you need to pre-order gluten free meals in the MDR the night before. The GF bread is not spelt. On embarkation day you will be contacted to discuss your dietary needs and have a person assigned to you.

And spelt is not gluten-free; it's a subspecies of wheat, although some people who have non-celiac issues with wheat are able to digest it more easily. However, all gluten-free bread that I've seen is free of wheat.
