JFK to FLL

We will be flying into fort lauderdale at 3pm the day of our cruise with a departure time on the cruise at 5pm. Does this give us enough time to get to the ship? Also what's the best, easiest, and fastest way to get from the airport to the ship? Taxi? Lastly, how/when will we know what port # the ship is docked at? Thanks kindly.

Best word of advice when it comes to flying in for a cruise, fly in the day before. 3pm arrival for a 5pm departure leaves little margin for error. Bad weather, mechanical problems, overcrowded airport etc. would be of cocern to me. If that's not possible, take the earliest flight possible. The best way to Port Everglades from the airport (10 minute drive) is a taxi for less then $12 for the ride. The cabbies drive to the port daily, they know the ships berths by heart. If there's any question they can ask at the security gate if need be.

ps, Flying from JFK to FLL, fly JetBlue. ;)
