Tipping

Recommended Posts

I have been hearing that Carnival automatically puts $10 per day per person on your Sail and Sign card for tips. I have also heard that this can be adjusted up or down. Can this be completely removed? If so, when? I would much rather be able to give my tips to the person deserving of them, I just feel it is more personable and means much more that way!

Since you obviously aren't even considering stiffing the help that wait on you hand and foot all week, why not just enjoy the convienence of having the tips added to your credit card instead of having to manage a pile of bill in various denominations?

I agree that it's much easier to leave the tips on the Sail and Sign card. I look upon it as just a cost of the cruise. I usually tip in cash in addition to those tips for exceptional service which I almost always receive. In that way I can also feel like I'm making a personal effort.

I too leave the tips on, so much easier...If service is above and beyond then I always give more. Which I did on our last trip. Asked the room steward for envelopes and he brought them right away! LOL Service would have to be poor for me to ever remove the tips.
