Habs_cat Posted January 13, 2019 #1 Share Posted January 13, 2019 Hello Baltic cruisers! I’m starting to plan the next cruise for my family of 4 and we’d like to cruise the Baltic Sea. I understand that “larger” cruise ships don’t dock in Stockholm but rather at Nynäshamn. Can anyone tell me what ships would usually dock in Stockholm proper? I know that ports are subject to change per weather etc, so no port is guaranteed. I just don’t know what constitutes a “smaller” cruise ship. I would stay away from NCL ships and the Regal Princess as these usually dock in Nynashamn rather than Stockholm.

Yes, Silhouette is right on the length limit for navigating the archipelago into Stockholm. But size isn't the only factor. A ship's manoeuvrability and weather conditions come into the equation. Cruise itineraries should (and usually do) name Nyneshamn if that's the intended port. JB
