Taxis in Havana

Are taxi fares etc in Havana on a flat rate, or do they use meters? Is it customary to tip extra?

We will be in Havana next month, and have noticed a few local bars with music that we would like to visit. Walking long distances can be difficult for me.

Agree on a fare before the trip. 

Centeral town to the port we would give them 10 cucs.

From what I have read it seems to be 10 CUC to wherever you go.

You can take the HOHO bus for the day for 10 CUC -- not sure what hours they run but you could check it out.   It might suit you instead of taxi's.
