My cousin (64) and I (67) visited St. Maarten last week while cruising on the Regal Princess.  We took the water taxi to Philipsburg, walked the Boardwalk, and then sat at the bar with a couple we met on the ship at a place called Burger Madness.  Margaritas were 2 for $10.  We sat there all afternoon.  😁.  The owner/bartender, Peggy Sue, was very interesting and a lot of fun.  It was a perfect afternoon.   Probably not what you were looking for, but we had a good time.  😊

My wife and I, early 60s, used Seagrape tours for birdwatching.  It is a locally owned, husband/wife team.  They use small minivans so no large groups.   On our excursion it was just the two of us and the guide so the whole trip could be customized to our preferences.  The wife was our guide.  They also do historical tours, art tours as well as snorkeling/beach type excursions.
