ctscanner Posted January 20, 2019 #1 Share Posted January 20, 2019 Our ports of call are Nassau and Freeport. Which beach excursion is the best?

Smokey596 Posted January 22, 2019 #3 Share Posted January 22, 2019 Me too. I'm looking for a quiet beach experience...not interested in noise, music, playing, etc.
pacruise804 Posted January 22, 2019 #4 Share Posted January 22, 2019 Freeport will probably give quieter beaches, since they aren't in easy walking distance. We did a Kayak excursion through Carnival Pride when we went last Feb/March and it included a good amount of time at Gold Rock Beach - undeveloped and beautiful sand and clear water. There were around 30 for the excursion, but they split into 3 groups of around 10 each so it felt very small/personable. We enjoyed the kayaking and nature walk, but the beach alone was worth it. blueridgemama Posted January 23, 2019 #5 Share Posted January 23, 2019 USA Today and Coastal Living rank Gold Rock Beach as one of the best beaches in the Bahamas.
bostongal965 Posted January 24, 2019 #6 Share Posted January 24, 2019 Gold Rock beach is beautiful, but check the tide tables - there is very little beach at high tide. We were there at low tide, and it was stunning.
pnorth Posted January 26, 2019 #7 Share Posted January 26, 2019 Take taxi to both Cabbage beach in Nassau and Lucaya Beach in Freeport
cruiseapril Posted January 28, 2019 #8 Share Posted January 28, 2019 We liked Cable Beach in Nassau. Also, the Blue Lagoon excursion.
