Where on the Malecon at night?

Anywhere along the Malecon in the area of the Hotel Nacional would be a good central location.  On our way back up/down the Malecon at sunset there were people at all places along the wall.   Not sure one place was better than the other.     Another option is a CoCo Cab tour up/down the Malecon at sunset.    You will have a place to sit and people watch.

Google maps says 4+ km.  Walking it says 51 min.  You have to cross the Malecon and up a pretty steep hill to get there.   Doing this at night in the dark may not be advisable?   We love to walk too and if we had more time we may have considered this option.  However, given limited time and soooo many things/places we wanted to see that wasn’t an option for us.
