Active/adventurous excursions in San Juan

Hey guys, my wife and I are going to be in San Juan as a port of call on the Carnival Breeze in May and we're looking for something to do while we're there. We're both in our late 20's and very active so we're looking for something a little more adventurous than the typical beach day or walk around the city. Any suggestions? I've heard El Yunque might be cool if anyone has any specific excursions there that they want to suggest

I don't have any tour suggestions, we have rented a car to go when there the day before a cruise starts but El Yunque is amazing.  If you like adventure, the hiking is nice. lots to see and gorgeous!
