Bringing food off the ship in Barcelona?

Does anyone know if you are allowed to bring food off the ship when disembarking in Barcelona? (Norwegian Spirit) We wanted to bring something to eat on the train from the ship when we left (muffin, sandwich, etc.) but were not sure if this was okay.  I know some ports have those dogs that sniff out contraband and they make you throw it away.

All this being said we have not had any problems or questions with taking pre-packaged food mostly snack/energy bars or nuts off the ship with us in Europe and Caribbean. This is assuming you are provisioned with them when you first reach your ship , ships typically won't make box lunches. Any excursion should always allow some free time to grab something or includes some meal or snack. Certainly if you are self guided, no problems.
