transportation from FLL to MIA Port

I need transportation from Fort Lauderdale Airport to the Miami Port. Which services did you guys use? Is there any cheap good service out there? How much is the average cost? Any shuttle?

The best, economical way to get from FLL to Port of Miami is Tri-County Airport Express.

When you arrive at the airport, collect your luggage and go outside the baggage claim area, lower level, curbside, contact one of our starters (customer services reps.) wearing a white shirt with "AIRPORT EXPRESS" in red on the back of the shirt and an emblem on the sleeve and over the breast pocket. Let the starter know what service you are interested in and he/she will assist you.

I believe all cruise lines have transportation. We were just on Royal Caribbean. The charge was 20.00 per person (one way).

Yes, they do, HOWEVER, it's cheaper and FAR more convenient to get your own transportation. With cruise line transportation you're crammed onto a bus, and then you sit there for as long as an hour, sometimes even longer, while it fills up... NOT FUN!

It is in the $60 to $90 range for a cab or limo. or you could rent a car.

isn't that almost the same cost as the cruiseline transfer? $18/person each way?

The difference is that you're on a van that fills up a lot quicker. So you get to the port quicker and dont have to wait to get off a big bus and then wait to get your luggage.

My husband went and checked prices after I read this thread yesterday.

 

The fee is $24 plus a $1 per person gas surcharge and a $2 per person airport fee so for it to be $60-90 you would have a lot of people and bags-(we always tip $2 per bag and we do that if we take a cab or if we use the cruiseline shuttle so either way we pay that)

 

We found out the shuttle for Celebrity is $24 per person roundtrip -since our group is 8 people we still feel we can take 2 cabs for less. Each cab will be $36 each way ($24 plus $4 gas surcharge and $8 airport fee) plus tips for bags-since we will have 4 people to a cab. so $144 total plus tip for bag handling. For the Celebrity shuttle we would pay $192 plus tip for bag handling.
