Hours in Miami.......what to do?

We are flying from Baltimore to Miami for our cruise. We will get in real early. The next flight would be cutting it too close to take. So my question is--what can we do for hours before boarding the ship? Any place to "stow" our gear so we can do some sightseeing?

Have you considered renting a car and driving out to Everglades Park and touring the Everglades or taking an airboat ride in the Everglades? Our family tried this last year, but unfortunately a storm came up before we were able to get to the airboats. We ended up walking on the elevated platforms near the Visitor's Center within the Everglades and then driving over to Little Havanna and exploring a bit and eating some authentic Cuban food. UMMMM GOOOD!!!
