Late afternoon port.....

Our port time in Costa Maya is 1-9 on our trip in May. Will our beach time be more limited? We are trying to decide on what to do but I worry about being out and about late in the evening. Have any of you had a later port time and how did it effect your day? If Any? TIA

Some beach clubs could be open until sunset.  Most tend to close around 5PM, similar to Cozumel.

The local hotel bars and some restaurants are open in the evening , catering primarily to land vacationers and divers.

We are planning a return trip to Tropicante . I messaged Steve the owner and he said that there were actually 2 late ports that day and they would be staying open late to accommodate us!
