Rare Vineyard View Posted January 30, 2019 #1 Share Posted January 30, 2019 We are visiting several islands and wanting to identify a couple to take to the water on catamarans- not large occupancy please - that would allow for good snorkeling, lunch, etc. I am not seeing a lot of options here post hurricane but I could very well be totally missing it. So a couple of questions - would you recommend this port as a catamaran day or not? I don’t know what the reefs are doing since the hurricanes. If the answer is yes, are you aware of a smaller, nice recommendation? If on on the other hand, you believe catamarans would be better saved for elsewhere, what would you recommend other than a full beach day? It has been many years since I spent time on St Martin. CruisingMarch2016 Posted January 31, 2019 #2 Share Posted January 31, 2019 Random Winds is a great guide. Brand new catamaran being used this season. We have toured with them before and they are great hosts. Dianne, the owner, has been very instrumental is helping the island since the hurricane, so better reason to support them. 4boys531 Posted February 1, 2019 #4 Share Posted February 1, 2019 I will cast a second vote for Random Wind. We sailed with them in late Nov 2019 and just last week (Jan 2019)! Had a blast both days - the crew takes amazing care of you all day long and the two locations they stop are beautiful for swimming, snorkeling or just relaxing on the boat! CruisingMarch2016 Posted February 1, 2019 #5 Share Posted February 1, 2019 4boys531---How was the new catarmaran?? We have around 25 for a private charter and just curious how roomy it is? I know they still have the Swing but any other fun features on the boat? Thanks in advance.
