Hello :)

You seem to have th eknowledge of the area so I am going to try you direct. lol

We are coming from Lakeland the night before our cruise and don't plan to arrive until 8pm or later. We are needing someplace to basically fall asleep. Mapquest comes down 95 from Lakeland being the best route, do you know if that is the quickest? I saw 27 goes towards Miami as well. SO I guess I either need a reasonable hotel off 95 or 27 . Please email direct if you can :)

Not Trent but one piece of advice, stay on the Turnpike and off I-95 as long as possible. We don't get off the Turnpike until 836 for Miami Beaches. Otherwise, you could get stuck in traffic for hours.

I haven't taken US 27 in years, can't comment on that one. I agree that the Turnpike is better than I-95. Mapquest's routes are not always the "best" way.
