Valentina84 Posted February 3, 2019 #1 Share Posted February 3, 2019 What is the price of havana club rum? and cigars? I'm going in march (11) and will definitely come back with my favorite drink ever. I don't care for cigars but I'm curious. Might bring back some for my lovely boyfriend. ICT lineman Posted February 3, 2019 #2 Share Posted February 3, 2019 Found the best price for Havana Club rum to be in a little shop at the Cruise Terminal - 750 ml 3 year old [a little harsh] for 7 CUC and 7-year old [better] for 19 CUC. Genuine Cuban cigars will cost 5 to 8 CUC each, boxes of 25 for 100 to 140 CUC. Only buy cigars at a La Casa del Habanos retail store. Closest store to the Cruise Terminal is about a 10-minute walk located in the Hotel Conde De Villanueva at Calle Mercaderes 202. 2

EatonDoolittle Posted February 4, 2019 #5 Share Posted February 4, 2019 For your rum, you can visit the Havana Club Museum. It is across the street and just a few blocks to the left as you leave the terminal. Retail store is right in the front. It's on the way to the Art Market. I don't remember prices, but ICT's quotes sound about right. I had heard reports that the store in the terminal may have erratic hours, so I made the rum museum my first stop to make sure I had that covered. I also don't remember if they had minis, but they did have a very big selection.
pbenjamin Posted February 5, 2019 #6 Share Posted February 5, 2019 I've seem pictures of the miniatures online, but haven't seen them in Cuba. I suspect they are for export. The information above for Havana Club is pretty accurate. The price are set by the government. Here is a lengthy list of prices for cigars and rum: http://yulcigars.blogspot.com/2017/12/cigar-price-list-for-cuba-2017-2018.html
Buckeyecruiser76 Posted February 7, 2019 #7 Share Posted February 7, 2019 I was just in Havana last week, the cruise terminal shop has a variety pack of 4 mini Havana club bottles. Worked out perfectly for souvenir gifts. 1
