flgatormom Posted April 8, 2004 #1 Share Posted April 8, 2004 i don't know anything about better locations/decks/etc. and am a little fearful that my ignorance was 'exploited' when i booked. the only think that i am really concerned about is having noise be a factor as we will have our 2 and 5 yr old kids with us. i don't want to be blasted with music or scraping lawn chairs late at night/early in am. i'd love opinions/experiences. and, anyone bring kids this young? Boston6 Posted April 8, 2004 #2 Share Posted April 8, 2004 Looks like its over the casino. Slot machines might be noisy. Any chance of moving up a deck? palmtre2 Posted April 8, 2004 #3 Share Posted April 8, 2004 I hope the noise isn't a factor we're on the Glory (same layout) in cabin 6362.I'm a 1st timer too. I picked my cabin and to try and figure out where I was I printed out the deck below & mine and chose a cabin that wasn't over anything too loud. It looks like your over a cafe, it shouldn't be too bad. I'll let you know when I get back. 4/10 Easter aboard the GLORY
Jasonsterling Posted April 8, 2004 #4 Share Posted April 8, 2004 It looks like you have booked an inside cabin- in which case I would have just gone with the Riviera Deck. It usually very quiet down there, there's very little motion if you're worried about sea sickness and you would have saved a small amount to boot. The only trade off is a slightly longer ride in the elevator to the pool but that's not really much of a difference. Sensation Feb 2002 Conquest Feb 2003 Elation Sept 2003 Destiny- May 2004!!!!! countercast Posted April 10, 2004 #6 Share Posted April 10, 2004 I really wonder if there's any such thing as a bad place on a cruise! You could be at home with rowdy, party-ing neighbors!! Working hard to cruise hard!
kristikae Posted April 11, 2004 #7 Share Posted April 11, 2004 You should be ok. The only really bad place is directly over the piano bar. The casino is a pretty quiet place to be over.
