framboesa Posted February 22, 2019 #1 Share Posted February 22, 2019 Hello! Are there St Patricks's parties or any special event during St. Patrick's day aboard MSC Cruises? I have been to other cruise lines with lots of things going on during St. Patrick's day (no matter if we were in Caribbean, Mediterranean...) and we had lots of fun. Rare Beamafar Posted February 22, 2019 #2 Share Posted February 22, 2019 We were onboard on St Patrick's Day and, other than Irish decorations (such as green shamrocks) in the casino, with "The Luck of the Irish" signs all around, there was no other reference to the day.
SeaTheW0rld Posted February 22, 2019 #3 Share Posted February 22, 2019 I'll be on Divina docked at The Manhattan Cruise Terminal St. Patrick's Day (overnight port). Not bragging, just saying. Ok, I'm bragging 😜
Rare Beamafar Posted February 22, 2019 #4 Share Posted February 22, 2019 (edited) We were due to be on that sailing, STW. We'd booked the prior 11 nights plus the 20 night repo as one booking of 31 nights. However, as the 11 nighter was chartered by vegans, we cancelled. We wanted to cruise move to the 20 night repo but there wasn't an Aurea cabin available - despite the fact that we were handing back an Aurea cabin. (In other words, they wouldn't allow us to re-book the same cabin 🙄). St Patrick's Day is really only recognised in English-speaking countries - it's probably unknown in most European countries, which is why it wouldn't be a 'thing' on MSC. More meat for me! 🐮🐂🐷🐑🐓🐰🐿️ They really should have taken better care of you. I'm watching to see if something opens up on that 11 nighter. There's only an Aurea Suite available. There are two YC suites on the transatlantic still un-booked. Fire-sale prices on other categories.
