Near elevators

We are sailing on the Grand Princess in March and just learned our cabin is right by the center elevators and stairs. We are a little concerned about that fact that it will be noisy. Any thoughts on this?

Our first cruise to Alaska was on the Coral Princess, we were right near the elevators and stairs and were concerned.... We never heard anything. Well, OK, there was one group of kids that ran by yelling and we heard them. I would say to not worry! And it's very convenient. Just remember to take the stairs as much as possible to work off the food.....

For some reason the way the walls divide the area you shouldn't have a problem. Maybe an occasional situation but nothing to keep you awake or to wake you up.

On some of my cruises our cabin has been near the elevators and have never experienced any sounds at all. Have a great cruise.

Twice we have been RIGHT next to the elevators and we never heard a thing!

The rooms are really very soundproof and the doors are a very tight fit when closed. It is very hard to hear anything outside your door.
