jrbeccles Posted March 2, 2019 #1 Share Posted March 2, 2019 I searched and couldn’t find this subject so apologies if it’s been covered already. On our bucket list is to take the inauguration cruise on the newest Disney ship in 2021. It would our 7th Disney cruise. However I’m worried it’s going to sell out in a heartbeat. I’d appreciate your suggestions on the best way to have a good shot a booking a cabin for the cruise . I know nothing has been announced yet (not even the name) but your ideas would be welcome. Thanks!

Thanks! It's my understanding that, typically, maiden voyages are mostly invited guests. That is, people are invited to book the trip. Now, at least two of the past maiden voyages had a few open rooms that were able to be booked, at least one of which was a lottery to be able to book it. I'd suggest you find a TA to work with, that way they can keep their ears open for when/how to book it.
jrbeccles Posted March 2, 2019 Author #3 Share Posted March 2, 2019 Thanks Shmoo - I has no idea. I am reasonably sure I wont be on the VIP invite list, so if the rooms are going to be limited Ill contact a TA and see. If it doesn't work out then I'll just book its first cruise out of Port C. Thanks again!
Rare Oceansaway17 Posted April 5, 2019 #4 Share Posted April 5, 2019 well that is a shame that it is such a VIP thing. They should have a contest and let some folks win a spot on a TA. Ya know newbies or those who have only traveled twice. Wondering if the D23 folks get a chance too
luv2cruisedisney3269 Posted April 11, 2019 #5 Share Posted April 11, 2019 We were able to book a pre Maiden voyage for the Dream. It was a 2 day Charity cruise for Boys & Girls club. You had to make a "donation" and it did not count toward CC status. It went ridiculously fast but was still fun to be one of the first people on the ship
Wheeling TravelingMom Posted April 11, 2019 #6 Share Posted April 11, 2019 I did Pre-Maiden on Fantasy but it was invited media. Oddly this AM I just booked another Fantasy cruise for 2020 and asked about the dates on the new ships. She was hoping this summer release at least the Fall 2020 new ship itineraries would be announced.
