Dinner Reservations?

Could someone please tell me if San Juan restaurants except dinner reservations? If so, are they necessary? I will be in San Juan, via the Carnival Liberty, on March 6, 2006 from 5:00 PM – 12:00 AM. Thank you in advance.

It depends on the restaurant, probably just the same as it would be here stateside. We had to make reservations to dine at Tangerine in The Water Club Boutique Hotel, but it's also pretty small and somewhat exclusive. Of course, it's also extremely yummy!! :) We didn't make reservations at the Metropol though although there was a wait even at 8:30pm...

My rule of thumb is the more expensive it is, the more likely they take reservations pretty much. Good Luck!
