Cienfuegos pedicab tour

Just returned from our Cuba cruise with 1 day in Cienfuegos and 2 days in Havana.  We arranged our own tours for all days.

Most people we spoke to after Cienfuegos who did a ship tour were displeased.  Many commented it was too much driving, too many older people who kept the group moving slow, excursion advertised a hike but was more of a stroll, guide was full of propoganda, etc.....

We had a great day!  We opted for a pedicab tour to Punta Gorda.   Most people without a ship tour went straight to Jose Marti Park so we purposely went the opposite direction first to avoid crowds.  Pedicabs are not allowed in the area directly off the ship so somewhat of a challenge to find at first.  Many also don’t speak English so another challenge.  We eventually found 4 bikes and only 1 driver spoke good English.  Passing along the name of our English speaking guide if you prefer to pre-arrange a tour with him.   Wish we could have pre arranged to save some time!  Look for Alfredo Nodal Liriano on Facebook and message him.

Standard rate is $20/hr/bike, but can be negotiated.   Be sure to confirm price is per bike and not per person.  This is a common “trick” as they make you think price is per bike and at the end of the tour now it’s per person.

Happy to answer any questions.
