Park West Free Cruise Upgrade Question

we are always getting emails for the free cruises from park west but they have always conflicted with other vacations we had already planned( we plan everything way in advance); we have done the park west weekend getaways and they were nice; so my question is, if we accept the park west free cruise which usually includes a balcony stateroom, all gratuities, etc, do they allow you to upgrade to the Haven or a suite and then, they pay you the cost if you took the balcony and we pay the difference toward the upgrade or what if anything; thanks;

I don't know about the haven but we did go to a mini suite, write the person who invited you.

Once you have a reservation with NCL at about 80 days out you may be sent an email invitation to bid on a Haven suite. You can bid, you aren't guaranteed to win, but it is a path to get to the Haven or any next level upgrade.

The problem with bidding is that you probably won't receive your confirmation until about 2 weeks before the cruise.

Most Haven upgrades are done week of cruise. Our last upgrade was on a Wednesday afternoon before a Saturday cruise.

I was just on a Park West Cruise, I was given the opportunity to bid for an upgrade but couldn't pay NCL directly for a better cabin (Haven was sold out on our cruise)
